Expanded clay - an encounter with consequences
In order to stand out more clearly from competitors in the region, Carsten Schröder was looking for a way to build faster, better and cheaper than with conventional brick-on-stone construction. However, the advantages of a solid construction should not be foregone. Through an architect friend, Carsten Schröder came into intensive contact with expanded clay as a building material for the first time. Wall elements made from this building material combine everything that is important when building a house: they are solid, ecologically sound and offer excellent heat and storage properties. Last but not least, the prefabrication of complete components and the possibility of forgoing interior plastering ensure decisive advantages over conventional construction methods.
Variable despite prefabrication
VarioSelf houses are solidly built and can be created completely individually on request. One of the most important advantages of the system is probably the short construction time. The wall elements are prefabricated as a millimeter-precise implementation of the individual construction plan in weather-independent production facilities; their assembly on site can be accomplished in a single day for houses with a floor area of up to 200 m².
